Our Goals For Boise State Students

Make it More Affordable

Make it More Accessible

Make it More Meaningful

What does Make it More Affordable Mean to The Stampede?

Making student life more affordable means easing financial insecurity so students don’t have to choose between essentials and enriching experiences. No student should sacrifice meals, supplies, or campus activities due to cost. Ensuring affordability allows every student to fully embrace college opportunities without financial stress limiting their experience.-Layne Johnson

Make it more affordable to be a student” means making sure that every student, has the chance to succeed without the constant worry about financial barriers. It’s about lowering the cost of tuition, offering more scholarships and financial aid. It’s ensuring that students can focus on their education, their passions, and their futures, rather than stressing over how to pay for textbooks, housing, or meals. Everyone deserves the chance to pursue their dreams without financial stress. – Natalie Rivera

To me this means making it more affordable to be a student involves helping inform students about free on-campus resources, such as the Student Emergency Fund, Campus Food Pantry, Campus Clothing Closet, and lots of other resources that are available to all students across campus. These resources help students who may need to reduce overall costs and cover their basic needs. As students advocates we should be making these resources more available and known. –K’Lee Burbank

What does Make it More Accessible Mean to The Stampede?

Make it more accessible to be a successful student” means removing barriers to success by providing affordable resources, creating inclusive spaces, and ensuring that all students, especially those from underserved populations, have access to the support, opportunities, and tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and personally.- Alice Mwamba

Making it more accessible to be a student involves providing essential academic and social resources to enhance students’ success at Boise State University. This can be accomplished through collaboration with all of Boise State’s colleges to ensure that students feel supported in the classroom, or by working with the Dean of Students to ensure that students receive assistance outside of class. We aim to advocate for students in every aspect of their Boise State experience.-Diego Tapia

Making education more accessible is a crucial issue that student leaders must advocate for. Boise State students deserve access to a high quality meaningful education without barriers. These barriers—whether financial, physical, technological, or social—should not prevent students from achieving their full potential. – Alana Heusser

What does Make it More Meaningful to be a Student Mean to The Stampede?

Boise State is full of many resources and leaders that are committed to ensuring a meaningful experience for students. As Student Body President I will ensure that every student has a meaningful experience. Whether through individual collaborations with organizations and clubs, or through partnerships with Athletics to enhance student participation in travel games and the Student Section, integrating student stories and experiences is crucial. It not only fosters a sense of community but also adds depth and meaning to the student experience.- Isaac Celedon

Making Boise State a more meaningful experience means fostering genuine connections with peers, professors, and advisors. Building relationships within the university community enhances both academic and personal growth, creating a sense of belonging that extends beyond the classroom. By actively engaging in student organizations and campus initiatives, students become part of a supportive community, where collaboration and shared experiences enrich their journey. A strong sense of connection not only deepens school spirit but also provides valuable opportunities for networking, mentorship, and personal development, ensuring that every student can make the most of their time at Boise State. –Alyssa Almaraz

Meaningful student experience is wat it means to be a bronco. It answers the question of why BSU? My goal in this position is for students to take pride in the traditions and values of the Blue Thinking mindset. This pride to be reflected in traditions and academia. Whether its the fight song or a GPA, meaningful is all about the pride of Boise State University. – Ethan Mariner
